The Harrison Festival Society celebrated its annual lineup release party last Wednesday at the Ranger Station Art Gallery. The event was an opportunity to celebrate the launch of the Society’s new website, which included an entertaining and informative overview of the entire site that recently went live.

“This is a special year because this is our annual launch and lineup and it’s also a special launch of the new website as well, and I want to thank my colleagues and staff Bryan Cutler, he was really in charge of working on the website and working with the designers and I want to thank our colleague Liz Webber, who does a fantastic job,” said Andy Hillhouse, executive and artistic director at the Harrison Festival Society.

Guests were treated to a presentation of the colourful and engaging new site as well as a sneak peak at the stellar entertainment planned for this year’s Harrison Festival of the Arts and a chance to meet the designers who built it. Guests were also given a free CD sampler of the festival artists for their attendance.

“I want to say thank you to everyone who came out, this is a really big moment for the organization, we’ve waited quite awhile for this night to happen — for those of you who remember the old site, it was really a good site for a lot of years, it stood the test of time as it should have but onward and upward,” said Cutler. Functionality was a word that Cutler used regarding the site and it was a key component when they were designing it.

The site is comprehensive and easy to navigate, promising great things for the season ahead, as presenters scrolled through different aspects of the site, showcasing some of the unique and talented performers that will be gracing The Village of Harrison Hot Springs art scene for 2017-2018.

“A big thank you to the BC Arts Council for letting this project happen,” said Cutler.
