Police released a sketch of the man believed to be attempting to lure children March 10, 2014.

As part of their ongoing attempt to find the man who tried to lure a child into his home,  Kelowna Mounties released a composite sketch of the suspect.

A 10-year-old Kelowna boy was approached by an unknown male while he was riding his scooter on the path in the vicinity of Gramiak Road and Mary Court, Feb. 26 at about 2:30 p.m.

“The suspect asked the boy if he wanted to talk and stated his house was just down the street. The boy ignored him and the man asked if they could meet later,” said Const. Kris Clark. “The man is believed to have been seen in the area of the Springvalley Schools earlier that day. He was last seen heading eastbound on Saskatoon Road.”

Police received the report the following day, and their efforts continue in order to identify and locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male;
  • 40-50 years;
  • 6 foot (183 cm):
  • Thin build;
  • Pale complexion:
  • Grey/white facial hair;
  • Light brown eyes.
  • Fresh wound with stitches near his right eye.He was last seen wearing
  • A long navy blue or black jacket;
  • Black jeans;
  • Toque;
  • Sunglasses;
  • Gloves.

Police are now releasing a composite sketch of the suspect and are seeking anyone with any information that may lead to his identification.
