Health complex project in works

A new tenant could be moving into Coldstream, bringing medical and/or dental care closer to area residents

A new tenant could be moving into Coldstream, bringing medical and/or dental care closer to area residents.

The Trintec development at Sarsons Road and Selkirk Drive is moving ahead with plans to construct a medical/dental complex.

This portion of the project would comprise three buildings and is the first phase in the shopping centre.

“It’s a very nice looking project,” said Coun. Maria Besso.

So nice in fact, that some potential tenants are already considering moving into the space.

“Some have already indicated definitive intent to locate on this site based on the current design program,” said Michelle Austin, Coldstream’s planning technician, in a report to council.

The only concerns raised by council were accessibility, lighting and signage.

“The site will be fully accessible by several modes of transportation,” said Eric Ching, Urban Design Group Architects, adding that there will also be a bus stop at the complex.
