Terrace RCMP teams up with the grocery stores to help support the local food banks this weekend in the sixth annual Cram the Cruiser Event.
Officers will be looking for donations of non-perishable food items, toys, diapers, and gift cards.
“The community of Terrace is generous and supportive each year in our efforts fill our police vehicles with donations for the Terrace Churches Food Bank and the Salvation Army. Over the past five years, we have collected approximately $10,000 and filled on average four vehicles each year with item donations. These organizations do so much for the community and they need food and other items to help fill Christmas hampers, as well as stock their shelves to help them carry through the winter months,” says Const. Angela Rabut, Community Policing/Media Relations, Terrace RCMP.
RCMP members, auxiliary members, and police volunteers will be at Save On Foods, Safeway, and the Real Canadian Wholesale from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 17.
