A man with a history of violent sexual offences will be released from his long-term supervision order and will begin living in Horsefly on Monday, June 20.
The RCMP has issued the notification in interest of public safety.
The Williams Lake RCMP say the man is Patrick Vincent Rodman, a 44-year-old Caucasian male, who has a history of violent sexual offences against both teenage and adult females.
Rodman is described as five-foot, four-inches tall and weighs 160 lbs.
He has blonde hair and brown eyes and a skull tattoo on his left forearm and a rose tattoo on his right. The RCMP indicate that Rodman has been known to befriend a female prior to an offence and then lure her to a secluded area under a false pretense where the victim is sexually assaulted.
Rodman is currently being supervised by the Williams Lake Probation Office and has court-ordered conditions of release that include: keeping the peace and being of good behaviour, no contact with anyone under the age of 16 years, not to attend a public park or public swimming area, daycare centre, school ground or playground where persons under he age of 16 are present, not to consume or possess alcohol or any controlled substances, not to possess any knives, not to possess or carry a weapon, not to have contact with the victims of offences for which he was convicted or any known members of their families, and not to use chat lines, dating services, Internet dating sites, introduction services or any other similar services.
The RCMP requests if the public sees Rodman in contravention of any of these orders to call 911 or contact their local detachment.
