More than a 1,000 people watched as dancers and musicians performed prior to the lighting of the 19-metre Christmas tree at Highstreet Shopping Centre on Saturday night.
The annual holiday show featured the 40-member MEI Screaming Eagles band along with dancers, stilt walkers, and Rudolph, Frosty and Santa.
And, yes, some snow did fall even though it was man-made. Hot choclate, popcorn and other treats were the order of the day at this year’s event.
