Still some road problems to contend with this morning.
Drive BC reports that the Trans-Canada Highway between Salmon Arm and Sicamous has been reduced to single lane alternating traffic this morning due to a mudslide four kilometres east of Canoe. The highway was closed earlier this morning but is now open.
Highway 97A is also reduced to single lane alternating traffic between Grindrod and Sicamous due to a mudslide.
As well, a report from the school district on Sunday night states:
“Several bus routes in the school district have been impacted by the flooding, namely Salmon Valley Road to Armstrong, and the Sunnybrae areas.”
Operations Manager Trevor Bettcher reported new routes were being worked on students and who live in the areas would receive a call from transportation either last night or early this morning.
