An elderly Surrey man was injured Thursday night when he was hit in a crosswalk by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene.
The incident happened at 98 Avenue and King George Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m., leaving the 72-year-old pedestrian with serious fractures to his left leg.
Surrey RCMP spokesman Sgt. Drew Granger said the only description of the suspect vehicle is that it was white.
The man was taken to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
