Premier Christy Clark says she is close to finalizing a deal for a home in her Westside-Kelowna riding.
“I have found a residence,” Clark confirmed Friday. “I’m thrilled.”
Clark, who is believed to have been been renting here since being elected MLA in a by-election last July, has said in the past she wanted to find a home in the riding to go along with the one she already has in Vancouver.
While, as local MLA and premier Clark has to split her time between the riding, Vancouver and Victoria, as well as traveling around the province, across Canada and to foreign countries, she has said she tries to get back to the riding as much as possible.
On Friday neither Clark nor her staff would not divulge exactly where she will be living, citing security concerns, but said her new home will be located in West Kelowna.
Declining to discuss details of her impending acquisition, the described the home as “beautiful,” with all the best of this area has to offer included.
