The building boom continues in Coldstream.
The month of May saw 14 building permits issued with a total construction value of $2.6 million. That compared to 11 permits in May 2013 with a value of $1.8 million.
“The number of housing units in 2014 to date is seven more than 2013,” said Bob Bibby, building official. “Total construction value to date exceeds the 2013 year-to-date total by more than double.”
The value for the first five months of the year is $12 million so far. The number for the same period in 2013 was $5.7 million.
