The Houston Fire Department responded to a fire at the Houston Pellet plant last Saturday.

The Houston Fire Department responded to a fire at the Houston Pellet plant last Saturday.

According to Houston Pellet Limited Partnership (HPLP), on Monday morning, as part of the procedure of removing the residual wood fibre from the affected silo, a minor explosion occurred.

The Houston Fire Department assisted the on-site crews. The situation is now stable and no one has been injured, HPLP said in a release.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
