How was your virtual care experience through the Omineca Medical Clinic?

The clinic has an online survey for patients in the region

Physicians at Omineca Medical Clinic want your feedback in regard to the virtual care that has been provided to patients in the region since COVID-19 began.

As the pandemic took hold in Spring, office protocols at the clinic changed to adapt to the needs of the time.

Patients started to receive care mostly through phone calls and Zoom appointments in order to keep patients coming for in-person visits to a minimum.

This practise has continued every since then, but the clinic has been able to increase the number of in-person appointments since the summer. However that increase in number of appointments has been in specific and controlled circumstances, as stated in the clinic’s COVID-19 safety plan.

But depending on what happens in the province in the coming weeks, the clinic may have to modify their COVID-19 safety plan again.

New staff have been hired to address the need for more cleaning and sanitation of exam rooms, waiting rooms, and high touch surfaces in the clinic.

Patients who come for in-person appointments must wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer before entering the building.

Other than the in-person appointments, the clinic continues to offer telephone or Zoom appointments for issues that can be appropriately dealt with, in a virtual manner.

As the clinic has been following these guidelines for a couple of months, they are looking for feedback from their patients so they can take decisions about how to move forward over the winter months and beyond.

The survey is online and can be accessed using the link – www.surveymonkey.com/r/C6X62MS
