Steven Tatoosh was re-elected as Hupacasath chief on April 6 in the First Nation’s general election. This is Tatoosh’s fourth term.
Out of a total of 137 votes, Tatoosh received 108 and Cole Sayers 27.
Brandy Lauder, Warren Lauder and Jim Tatoosh are the three elected Hupacasath councillors. Jim and Warren were both re-elected.
Calls to Tatoosh for comment on his re-elction were not returned by press time.
