SURREY — Families will be hurt by the latest hike in hydro rates, the BC New Democrats say.
“Families will suffer a 28 per cent hike over five years,” said Adrian Dix, BC Hydro critic for the NDP.
The NDP says the provincial Liberal government’s hydro rate hike will see the average customer paying $324 more per year.
“Premier Christy Clark’s latest hydro rate hike will hurt families and is the result of her government’s bad decisions,” Dix said. “The worst part is that this staggering hydro hike is on top of other fees and hidden taxes that Premier Clark has been hitting families with.”
