Ice groups soak up cash

Armstrong Curling Club and North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association granted gaming funds

Two North Okanagan organizations have accessed funds in the latest round of provincial gaming grants.

The Armstrong Curling Club is receiving $7,200 while the North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association in Armstrong and Enderby will get $35,000.

“Communities benefit greatly from organizations like these,” said Shuswap MLA George Abbott.

“From curling to hockey, this funding will make a real difference in a lot of peoples’ lives.”

Across B.C., 246 recipients will share $6,097,629 in this latest round of grants from provincial gaming revenue.
