Impaired driver blows more than double legal limit

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 29 calls for service from October 6th, 8 a.m. till October 7th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 29 calls for service from October 6th, 8 a.m. till October 7th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, two people were lodged in Terrace cells – one was lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Erratic driver in a blue van. Checks were done of the area.

A disturbance at a government building on Eby St. The person left prior to police attendance.

Breach of a no contact condition. Police spoke with a man. No criminal intent in this matter.

Group of people drinking alcohol in Brolly Square. Checks were done of the park.

Two intoxicated men on Park Ave. Police arrested a 33-year-old man and transported him to Mills Memorial Hospital due to his level of intoxication.

Group of intoxicated people in a doorway across from Brolly Square. Checks were done of the area.

Man passed out in the TD Bank ATM lobby. Police arrested a 41-year-old man.

Suspicious circumstances at the ATM with a man attempting to withdraw money.

Man sleeping in the TD Bank ATM lobby. Police spoke with a 57-year-old man.

Impaired driver in a blue Dodge SUV. Police pulled the vehicle over on Clinton St./Greig Ave. The 47-year-old driver was transported to the detachment where he provided two samples of breath that were more than double the legal limit. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. He was prohibited from driving.

A man in a red hoodie and black vest pacing in the area of the Husky Gas Station on Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with the man.

A man on a 79cc mini bike in the area of the Husky Gas Station on Lakelse Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Elsewhere Terrace

False residential alarm on Pheasant St.

Uttering threats. Police spoke with a woman.

Vandalism to a black 2003 Mazda 3 parked on Hamer Ave. The passenger’s side door was dented.

Vandalism to a red 2014 GMC Sierra that was left parked overnight at the Terrace Arena on October 3rd. The vehicle was scratched.

Erratic driver in a grey 2006 Toyota Camry on Keith Ave. Police spoke with the registered owner.

A woman on the outside railing of the Kalum River Bridge. Police apprehended a 59-year-old woman under the Mental Health Act.

False residential alarm on Kalum St.

Assist Ministry of Children and Families with an investigation.

A wallet was found and returned to its owner.

A bike was stolen from a residence in the Howe Creek Trailer Park on Kalum St.

Thornhill

Missing 34-year-old man. He returned on his own accord a short time later.

A person received a suspicious piece of mail.

Domestic assault. A woman struck a man with his cane, causing minor injuries. Police arrested a 55-year-old woman. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Rural

Assist Prince Rupert Detachment with an investigation.

Gitaus

Assault. A woman beat and bit a family member. The family member was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital via BC Ambulance for treatment of injuries. Under investigation.
