The Abbotsford Police Department is recommending impaired-driving charges against a 24-year-old woman.

A 24-year-old woman faces possible impaired driving charges after a vehicle roll-over early Saturday morning.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the woman was travelling east in a Pontiac Sunfire with three other women – ages 18, 24 and 32 – on Old Yale Road near Westside Place just after 1 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle in a curve.

The women all had to be extricated from the vehicle by members of Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service.

They were all taken to hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

MacDonald said a bottle of wine, empty beer cans and a white substance – believed to be cocaine – were found in the vehicle.

He said the investigation is continuing, but police are recommending a charge of impaired driving.
