People in Chilliwack have been digging out since Sunday when 27 centimetres fell

Chilliwack has been hit with lots of snow and record-breaking low temperatures this week.

It has resulted in sections of Highway 1 being shut down, cars overturned in ditches and school closures.

People have been digging out since Sunday when 27 centimetres fell. Then on Tuesday night, there was another 12.6 centimetres.

More snow is expected.
