Agassiz RCMP have confirmed that a man in medical distress was located near the Agassiz Rosedale Bridge last night around 4:30 p.m.
It is believed the man had travelled to Agassiz from Chilliwack. RCMP deployed police dogs to assist in tracking the subject who was eventually located and taken to hospital.
The incident, coupled with Rosedale overhead construction and rush hour volume caused traffic backups down Haig Highway and Highway 9 into Agassiz for a few hours following the apprehension.
