The municipality is looking for feedback on the key findings and recommendations for the draft of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
The plan will provide strategic direction to the municipality for the next 10 years. It will also present a shared vision for Summerland’s parks and recreation, identifying key issues, opportunities and constraints and highlighting community values, interests and needs.
The report was complied by Lees and Associates in April 2017.
A public open house will be held Wednesday, May 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Summerland Arena Banquet Room.
The public is invited to view the draft information and provide input. An online survey will also be available.
Staff and members of the steering committee will be present at the open house.
Materials are available on the municipality’s website at summerland.ca/masterplan.
Community input will be accepted until May 21.
The final Parks and Recreation Master Plan is expected to be completed and presented to municipal council by the end of June.
