Interior Health is hoping to do some more upgrades at Deni House, using the $200,000 that is left over from the $1.9 million that was originally committed to the renovations that were completed last year.

Todd Mastel, business support IH, told the Cariboo Regional District board at its regular meeting Nov. 16, IH will be return to a meeting in December with a list for the board’s approval.

“The staff identified a number of items. Some of them are around upgrading the security system on both floors from a keypad type of system to a card system,” Mastel explained.

Other upgrades include new security cameras, new patio doors on the second level, upgrading the bathing areas, the common area on the second floor, painting the lounge, changing some curtains in the resident lounge, and upgrading the chapel on the main floor.
