The driver of this GMC pickup truck was issued a violation ticket for following too close after colliding with van stopped for a yellow light on Highway 97 at the Exeter Station Road intersection.

The northbound lane of Highway 97 in 100 Mile House was closed for about an hour Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. due to a two-vehicle collision.

A grey Honda van in the northbound lane on Highway 97 was struck from behind by a black GMC pickup truck, as the van slowed for a yellow light at the intersection of Exeter Station Road and the highway. Police, ambulance and rescue crews responded to the incident.

The injured people were attended to and two occupants of the pickup were taken to 100 Mile District General Hospital by ambulance. They were treated for minor injuries and then released.

The occupants of the van were examined at the scene and did not require treatment at the hospital.

The vehicles were towed from the scene and the highway was re-opened. The male driver of the pickup truck was issued a violation ticket for following too close.< style=’ margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt;} >  < style=’ margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt;} >
