Intersections are the most common area for collisions to occur and police continue to focus enforcement in an effort to reduce crashes.
The RCMP are identifying intersections of concern, including Highway 97 and Beaver Lake Road in Lake Country.
“Aggressive driving behaviours, such as speeding, tailgating, and trying to beat the yellow light, as well as the use of electronic devices, put everyone at risk and are major contributors to intersection crashes,” said Const. Kris Clark.
“It may seem simple but even when there are traffic lights telling us what we need to do, things often go wrong. Please help us keep your streets and intersections safe; leave the phone alone and share the road.”
