Intoxicated man asks police to take him to jail

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 31 calls for service from March 11th, 8 a.m. till March 12th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 31 calls for service from March 11th, 8 a.m. till March 12th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, six people were lodged in Terrace cells – three of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

A man lying in a puddle of water on Lakelse Ave. Police assisted BC Ambulance and he was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital due to his level of intoxication and exposure.

A request to assist BC Ambulance. The request was cancelled prior to police attendance.

Elsewhere Terrace

Two warrants were issued for a 34-year-old man for failing to attend court.

Suspicious person at Mills Memorial Hospital. Police located the man a short distance away and spoke with him.

Familial dispute. Numerous thefts occurred. Under investigation.

Suspicious neighbour and occurrences. Police spoke with a man. Ongoing investigation.

Missing 44-year-old woman.

Hit and run to a Honda Civic parked at the Ford dealership sometime during the day of March 10th. Damage to the passenger side rear quarter panel.

A man defecating in a park near a school on Haugland Ave./Tetrault St. Checks were done of the area.

A black 2008 Ford F350 was keyed while it was parked on Agar Ave. sometime yesterday morning.

A wallet containing various cards and ID was lost at a coffee shop on Lakelse Ave. on the evening of March 10th.

A warrant was issued for a 43-year-old man for failing to attend court.

A group of people drinking alcohol in George Little Park. Police spoke with a group. A 54-year-old intoxicated man asked police to take him to jail. Police obliged.

A warrant was issued for a 50-year-old man for breaching his undertaking.

A warrant was issued for a 22-year-old man for failing to comply with probation.

Abandoned 911 call. Police spoke with the people involved. There was a verbal argument. A man was transported to an alternate location till cooler heads could prevail.

False business alarm on Kalum St.

Intoxicated man stuck behind a payphone at Walmart. Police arrested a 58-year-old man.

Yelling from an apartment. Police spoke to the people involved. Familial dispute. Everyone went their own ways.

Missing 17-year-old. She was located.

A woman wanted an intoxicated man removed from a residence. Police spoke with the people involved and a resolution was reached.

Assist Queen Charlotte RCMP with an investigation.

Abandoned 911 call. Police spoke with a man and it was deemed false.

Domestic dispute at a motel on Hwy 16 east. Under investigation.

Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a 19-year-old man for shoplifting. Police spoke with the man. He is banned from the store.

Man passed out in the band shell at George Little Park. Police arrested an intoxicated 33-year-old man.

Rural

Theft from an unlocked vehicle on Mile Pl. Change was stolen.

Erratic driver in a dark blue Ford F250 on Hwy 16 east/Old Lakelse Lake Dr.

Gitaus

Domestic assault. Police arrested a 43-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. No injuries.
