Intoxicated teen found singing on roof

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 103 calls for service from October 10th, 8 a.m. till October 14th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 103 calls for service from October 10th, 8 a.m. till October 14th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, eight people were lodged in Terrace cells – three of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

Vandalism to a black 2003 Ford Explorer at 4 a.m. on October 10 at a business on the 4500 block of Greig Ave. A rock was thrown through the window of the right rear door.

Domestic assault causing injuries. Police arrested a 29-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Man broke the window of a residence and is now banging on the front door and refusing to leave. He left prior to police attendance. Police received a call a short time later in the evening that he was back. The intoxicated 28-year-old man was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Intoxicated girl breaking and throwing things inside of a residence. Police located the 16-year-old girl on top of the roof of a residence singing. She was arrested.

A white 2012 GMC Sierra truck had its rear passenger side window smashed out while parked in the 3200 block of Apsley St. during the night of October 9/10.

Assault at the Thornhill Community Centre on October 11 shortly before midnight. A man beat another man numerous times with closed fists on the head and also hit the man’s head twice to the ground causing injuries. The assailant is described as Caucasian, late teens, 5 ft 7 inches, 170 lbs, clean shaven, shaggy brown hair, wearing a dark colored hoodie and jeans.

Two men were dropped off by a red 2002 Dodge truck and were snooping around the yard of a residence on Merkley Rd. The homeowner confronted the men whose story did not ring true. The men were picked up a short time later by two men in the same red truck.

The exterior doors on the north side of the gym of Clarence Michael School on Sparks St. were set on fire during the night of Oct 12/13. Damage was limited to the outer edge of the door.

A Curtis GPS unit and medication were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence on Merkley Rd.
