Iskwew Air’s first Qualicum Beach Airport arrival was celebrated on Monday, Aug. 16, with a water salute.
The Monday arrival marked the the first scheduled commercial flight of the 100 per cent Indigenous woman-owned airline in Canada. The new route will fly from YVR to Qualicum Beach Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Later in the day, a ribbon cutting ceremony with formal remarks was held to continue the celebration.
Since 2019, Iskwew Air has operated 24-hour charter services out of YVR’s southern terminal.
