James Bay New Horizons has received an infusion of $20,000 in provincial funding.
The money targets the group’s activity centre’s programs and promoting social inclusion for seniors and James Bay residents.
Open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., James Bay New Horizons programs range from fitness classes, computer and Internet courses, discussion groups, health and financial courses, social groups, presentations, arts and crafts and seniors’ specific courses.
“We are passionate about supporting seniors and all residents in our community,” said James Bay New Horizons president Anne Logie.
“Government’s investment of $20,000 will help us continue to offer a variety of important programs in a safe and welcoming environment.”
