Both Salmon Arm school trustees will be seeking re-election.

Current school board chair Bobbi Johnson and Dr. Michel Saab have declared their intentions to run.

“I’ve already picked up my papers,” says Saab. “I hope to be back, but we’ll see.”

In 2008, both Johnson and Saab were acclaimed for the positions. There are nine slots on the School District #83 board set out by area which encompasses Armstrong, Enderby, Sicamous, Malakwa, Sorrento, Falkland and the North Shuswap.

A meeting for prospective trustees will be held at the School District Education Centre on Okangan Ave. on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

Nomination packages are currently available at the school board office and will close Oct. 14. The municipal election is Nov. 19.
