The latest newsletter on the Enbridge Northern Gateway Joint Review Panel is now available.
It provides updates on participation deadlines coming up and opportunities for First Nations groups and the general public to provide information to the panel.
So far, 183 people have registered to make oral statements to the panel, 215 intervenors have registered and 13 government participants, including the local District of Fort St. James. The deadline to register as an intervenor is October 6, and can be done online or by calling 1-855-202-4559.
Information requests have been submitted in the first round by intervenors, asking questions of Enbridge and the deadline for Enbridge to respond to this round of questioning is October 6.
All of the questions and responses can be viewed online at the Enbridge Northern Gateway Joint Review Panel website, and the deadline for the second and final round of questions from intervenors is November 3.
The community hearings will be conducted from January to March of 2012, and the locations and dates will depend on the numbers of participants from any area. The specific dates and locations of the hearings will be announced after October 6.
There will be workshops held across the pipeline route this fall and winter, starting with one on “what to expect at community hearings.” Future workshop topics can be suggested via email at: GatewayProcessAdvisor@ ceaa-acee.gc.ca
