Kelowna driver killed in accident

Coroner releases identity of 18-year-old accident victim as Curtis James Schopf, who recently moved to Kelowna from Chilliwack.

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Kelowna on Feb. 29 as Curtis James Schopf, 18.

Schopf is originally from Chilliwack and had recently moved to Kelowna.

Schopf was the driver and sole occupant of a car that was involved in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 97 and Edwards Road in Kelowna, at about 9 p.m. on Monday.

He died at the scene of the accident.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
