Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue save stranded jetskiers on river

Volunteers bring three men to safety in evening rescue

Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue saved three men stranded on jetskis in the Harrison River on Sunday evening.

KHSAR dispatched three volunteers to the scene of two jetskis stuck in a small back channel on the river. Daylight was fading and the trio was not prepared to spend the night.

The three men were evacuated to safety, and no injuries were reported. Agassiz RCMP officers were also on the scene.

The Sunday call marks 62 local Search and Rescue calls to date for 2021.
