Keremeos and District Volunteer Fire Department responded to a dryer fire on Fourth Street in the apartment above a storage facility this on June 13, at approximately 4:30 p.m. The fire, which was contained to the dryer, was extinguished by the adult occupant. The fire department vented the building and checked for possible extension of the fire.
