Keremeos Mayor Manfred Bauer attended a Highway 3 Coalition meeting held in Castlegar earlier this week.
Following the meeting, the mayor was pleased to announce that the province is making plans to resurface the section of Highway 3 between Barcello Road in Cawston and Nighthawk Junction.
The mayor has been lobbying for improvements to this portion of Highway 3 for some time. Numerous cracks in the pavement make for a rough ride for motorists along this stretch of highway.
The resurfacing is expected to be completed this year.
