All playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment in Keremeos is now closed.

The Village of Keremeos announced the closures this morning, joining decisions made by municipalities around the province.

Their reasoning is due to the inability to ensure sanitary conditions.

The Village is also discouraging the use of public picnic tables.

“Those wishing to picnic in one of our parks should bring a blanket to picnic on and situate themselves far from others,” read a release by the Village.
