On December 28, 2011, the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Homeowners Exclusive Brand Night raised $1,890 for charity through a Live Auction featuring donations by various on-mountain businesses.

“We are committed to the community and the people who make our region so exceptional,” states Steve Paccagnan, President of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The Kicking Horse Endowment Fund has been set-up in partnership with the Golden & District Community Foundation (GDCF) to support not-for-profit community based organizations and initiatives in the Kicking Horse Country community.

This partnership also includes the resort “Spirit Pass”, an opportunity for businesses and individuals to donate funds to the Community Foundation gaining year round lift access to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (KHMR) in return.

“We are excited about the resort’s involvement,” states Ryan Watmough, Executive Director at GDCF. “In December 2011, we supported 36 youth through the $35,000 Whitetooth Affordable Ski Program.” Between KHMR, GDCF and Golden Community Resources Society, this program makes available a limited number of skiing/snowboarding packages to children between the ages of 8 and 18 where family incomes are limited.”
