Greg Kyllo has been handed official duties, but he’s not sure for how long.

Premier Christy Clark reappointed the Shuswap MLA as parliamentary secretary for the B.C. Jobs Plan Monday as part of her new cabinet. However, a deal between the NDP and the Greens could lead to the Liberal government falling to a non-confidence vote June 29.

“We’ll find out if we can carry on as government or if we move over to the other side (of the House),” said Kyllo.

Until then, though, Kyllo says he will work closely with Jobs Minister Shirley Bond and he will receive regular briefings on the Jobs Plan.

However, he admits the limited lifespan of the government will restrict his duties, including travel and stakeholder engagement.

“There won’t be a lot of work undertaken in the few short weeks.”

Along with Kyllo, also returning to cabinet is Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick, who is agriculture minister.
