Zoning and Official Community Plan amendment bylaws for a proposed two-lot subdivision at Lac Des Roche Resort were given two readings at the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) board meeting in Williams Lake on Jan. 14.
CRD Area L Director Bruce Rattray says the subdivision is in the sloped area behind the resort and is not considered by the applicant to be usable for resort purposes.
It will effectively divide the current resort property into two, including 25 acres rezoned to Rural 1, which allows for future subdivision into two lots, each would have to be a minimum of 10 acres.
This will leave the resort itself with the 13 acres remaining, zoned Tourist Commercial.
