Lac La Hache man injured in single MVI near Sugar Cane Wednesday

A 66-year-old driver from Lac La Hache is on life-support at Cariboo Memorial Hospital after a single MVI near Williams Lake Wednesday.

A 66-year-old driver from Lac La Hache is on life-support at Cariboo Memorial Hospital after being involved in a serious single motor vehicle incident near Williams Lake Wednesday morning.

The incident took place on Highway 97 at the bottom of the hill near the entrance to the Sugar Cane Reserve, Sgt. Bob Verbree, Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services.

“He was travelling north on Highway 97 and went off the road to the right,” Verbree said. “He was the lone occupant and was removed from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to the hospital.”

Family of the man were on their way from the coast, Verbree said.
