The Ladysmith Kinsmen Club raised just over half a ton of food and $1,800 for the Ladysmith Food Bank during a food drive and hot dog sale April 12 and 13 in front of 49th Parallel Grocery. Jim Delcourt from the Kinsmen says a lot of that food came from Farmer Ben’s Eggs, who donated 345 dozen eggs. Delcourt would like to thank the Sportsman Hotel, Dan Hunter Dental Mechanic, the Veterans Club, 49th Parallel Grocery and Twisted Scissor Lounge for all their support over the weekend.
