Retired from service by LF/R earlier this spring, the 1986 Ford was donated by Ladysmith Town Council and LF/R to LSAR to serve as its interim command centre. McDermid said LSAR aims to raise $185,000 “over the next couple of years” for a brand-new mobile command centre that would improve their capacity to respond to emergencies or natural disasters.
