A family is displaced after its home on 2700 block of Sooke Road caught fire Dec. 8 around 3 p.m.
The fire started outside at the back of the home and no one was home at the time of the fire.
“The fire is suspicious because all the occupants were away when it started,” said Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz, West Shore RCMP. “It’s an unusual location for the fire start.”
Langford Fire Rescue is investigating the fire and estimates the damage between $40,000 and $100,000, depending if the roof needs replacing or not, said fire investigator, Chris Aubrey.
The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
