Police have identified the victim of the crash on Highway 1 on Sunday morning in which a pedestrian was killed after being struck by three vehicles.
Although police are not releasing his name, they have said that he is a 20-year-old Langley man.
Abbotsford Police Const. Jody Thomas said police are still investigating the collision and no further details are being released at this time, including the reasons why the man was walking on the freeway.
The incident occurred Sunday at 4:15 a.m., when emergency services responded to reports that a collision had occurred involving a pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 between 264 Street in Aldergrove and Mt. Lehman Road in Abbotsford.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered that the man had been struck by three vehicles. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers involved in the collision remained on scene and were cooperating with the investigation. They did not sustain any injuries and Thomas said they were “very shaken.”
The Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team, police investigators and the B.C. Coroners Service were called in.
The crash closed Highway 1 east of 264th Street in Aldergrove for more than six hours.
Investigators are seeking witnesses, CCTV footage and dash-cam footage from those who may have been travelling eastbound in this area just prior to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
