The Civic was occupied by a group of four people, including two children. An 18-month-old was taken to hospital by air ambulance for what was originally thought to be serious injuries. It was later determined the child had only sustained minor injuries.

A female passenger sitting in the front passenger seat had more significant, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The two occupants of the Escape were uninjured.

The Escape was westbound on 56 Avenue prior to colliding with the northbound Civic.

Investigators are looking for any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoken to police. Additionally, they are looking for witnesses or potentially dash camera footage of the collision or driving behaviour of either vehicle prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
