Langley suspects swiped cash, cologne – and a wood chipper

Police are looking for suspects in a number of recent crimes, including a theft from a church.

Langley Mounties are looking for leads on a number of recent thefts and frauds, including the disappearance of a $45,000 wood chipper.

On April 12, a Ford F750 bucket truck and wood chipper were stolen in Surrey, said Cpl. Holly Largy, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.

The truck was recovered in the parking lot of the Aldergrove Safeway, but the chipper has not been located. It is a Vermeer 1000 model, orange with the word Asplundh written on the side.

RCMP are also looking for a woman who obtained $7,500 in loans from a Langley City Money Mart location, by providing false ID on April 13.

Another suspect is wanted in the theft of a tent from a church. On April 2, someone made off with a 20′ by 40′ tent from the church in the 6600 block of Glover Road. The male suspect can be seen in the lower right hand corner of the attached photo, said Largy.

Finally, police are looking for a man who pocketed some cologne from the Willowbrook Shoppers Drug Mart on March 24. The suspect is Caucasian, and was wearing black pants and a brown jacket.

Anyone with information on any of these cases is asked to call the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200. To leave an anonymous tip, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or visit www.solvecrime.ca.
