Langley worker run over by steam roller

Man was laying asphalt on 208 Street when his leg was run over by heavy machine.

A construction worker laying asphalt on 208 Street was run over by a two-tonne steam roller on Saturday evening.

The work accident took place in the 8300 block of 208 Street when the man’s leg was crushed by the asphalt roller.

When paramedics arrived he was conscious and breathing and rushed to hospital. The man only suffered a minor ankle injury, said police. Langley RCMP and WorkSafe BC are investigating.
