On Feb. 24, a Language Fun Story Time Literacy Program will be available for children 0-4 years of age.

The program will run every Friday morning for 8 weeks.

There will be books available, story time, songs and various activities such as painting included for children and their families to enjoy.

“It’s a hands-on learning interactive program that brings music, reading and learning all together,” said Joan MacGillivray, community action coordinator with Nechako Valley Community Services in Fort St. James.

“Children can even take books home, experience them at home and then return them and get a new book a week later.”

It’s a professionally developed program offering interactive opportunities to get children interested in reading.

“And we will be learning new songs from each other. It’s such a fun program,” MacGillivray said.

The program will begin on Feb. 24 (and every Friday after for eight weeks) from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Nak’azdli Daycare in Fort St. James.

Children ages 0-4 years and their families are welcome.

For more information and to register, call Joan MacGillivray at NCCSS CAPC Program at: (250) 996-3172.
