A main traffic artery in Oak Bay is expected to reopen in early May after a three and half month closure for replacement of a water main.
The road which was originally scheduled to reopen at the end of March was delayed and is now expected to be open to traffic starting May 3.
The District of Oak Bay announced Thursday (April 26) that the Lansdowne Road portion of the water main project is nearing completion with final water main sampling and testing about to be completed.
Concrete wheel chair drops and final preparations to complete paving are also underway with the asphalt contractor scheduled to pave Lansdowne on May 1 and 2.
