Lantzville losing its only community planner

Frank Limshue resigns as community planner with the District of Lantzville

The District of Lantzville will need to find a new community planner.

Frank Limshue, the district’s current community planner, told the News Bulletin he submitted his resignation and will be taking a job in the private sector. He said his last day will be Aug. 2 and is thankful for his time in Lantzville.

“I think there have a been a few times where things have been challenging, but for for the most part I have enjoyed it and I have enjoyed meeting the residents of Lantzville,” he said.

Limshue, a graduate of Ryerson University, was hired by the district on a part-time basis in December 2015, having previously served as the director of planning and zoning for Couverdon, the real estate arm of TimberWest. He said he’s looking forward to moving back to the private sector, where he can work on more projects that he enjoys.

“It’s more what I enjoy doing and you get to be a little more creative and you get to see projects go from start to finish…” Limshue said. “The opportunity just kind of fell into my lap and one thing led to another and I was presented with this opportunity. It’ll be great for me from a career perspective.”

The district is actively seeking a replacement for Limshue and expects to fill the position by early August.
