A Langley man who is not a lawyer has been banned from providing legal services after a suit by the Law Society of B.C.

A Nov. 27 decision by Justice M. Marvyn Koenigsberg ordered Bradley Jonathan Renford, who had been doing business as Concise Paralegal Services, to be prohibited from practicing law for a fee.

The Law Society alleged that Renford provided legal advice and prepared various court forms in family law and small claims matters, and took a hand in overall prosecution of lawsuits on behalf of others.

The court awarded the Law Society costs of $4,130.
