LCS grad is happening this weekend, and the class of 2015 has already received $32,400 in bursaries and scholarships to help them as they prepare to take the step into post-secondary in September. This year’s recipients are as follows:
Harley Adams: BPO Elks Lorne Huddleston Memorial Scholarship ($500) and Lake Cowichan Kinsmen ($500).
Marigold Arbic: Bell Kretchmer Memorial ($250); Lake Bloomers Society ($200); LCS PAC ($500) and a VIU Scholarship worth $1,000 for a total of $1,950.
Kourtney Brooks: John Tuck Community Services Award ($750); Palsson/AB Greenwell Elementary Bursary ($500) and Women of the Moose ($500) for a total of $1,750.
Bailey Callihoo: Channon Gill ($400); Dogwood IODE ($500) and a School District No. 79 Scholarship worth $1,000 for a total of $1,900.
Lauren Frost: Beta Sigma Phi Bursary ($500); A. The scholarships were awarded on June 4 at LCS’s annual Scholarship Night. LCS is also hosting an all school award assembly on June 25 at 9 a.m.
